GG Somphet House has a fantastic location on a quiet lane off Moon Muang, inside the old city. Surrounded by shops, bars, restaurants and attractions, this location is within walking distance to a host of attractions including the Night Bazaar. Although amongst all the action, GG Somphet House retains a quiet, safe and secure atmosphere with the rooms set back from the road. This location gives the best of the tourist hub of Chiang Mai with all the convenience and attraction of shops and restaurants but is situated perfectly for experiencing traditional and local Chiang Mai life with a local market a stones throw away, Buddhist Temples not far beyond and quiet, residential laneways ideal for walking and exploring meander through the old city.

A metered taxi or private car is available from Chiang Mai International Airport costing around 120THB per trip and taking approximately 15 minutes to the centre of town. All taxi drivers know Moon Muang; one of the most famous and busiest streets in Chiang Mai with GG Somphet located on Soi 6 with is just north of the Tapae Gate.

Tuk Tuks are available from the bus and train stations for approximately 30THB per person with a minimum of 2 people. For one person, bargain hard to get between 30-60THB.

There is the busy Somphet Market located at the beginning of Soi 6 preventing most vehicles from being able to drive right up to GG Somphet House. Most vehicles will want to drop you on the corner of Soi 6 on Moon Muang (the main street) with the walk to GG Somphet only 1 minute up the road on the left hand side.
