Marisa Boutique Resort and Spa, being located in the Chiang Dao region of Northern Thailand, 81km from Chiang Mai city is based in the countryside away from major universities and skilled employees. However, rather than employing and relocating staff from Chiang Mai and other major cities in Thailand, Marisa Boutique Resort and Spa is dedicated to employing locals of the region and training them and developing their skills. This capacity building and local employment is benefiting the people of Chiang Dao as well as the Resort. All staff are treated equal and are now able to support their families and find work in the Tourism Industry in their future careers.
